Undergraduate Programs

The goals of the Economics Department are to provide a broad range of undergraduate courses for economics majors in a liberal arts institution; to prepare students for rigorous graduate work in economics or related fields; to expose majors to the richness of economics through offering both "traditional" and "alternative" courses; and, for students who are not economics majors, to improve their understanding of economic phenomena as a way of enhancing their ability to comprehend the problems of a complex modern society. The department participates in appropriate College and University programs, including interdisciplinary studies.

Please see our requirements and courses pages for more information about the Economics Program.
